New Page Header

September 23

Had to get into Windows to mess with iTunes, so I thought I might as well created the replacement for the placeholder page header I had created. I have to say, I thought it didn't have enough going on when I was finished, but when it is actually up on the site it looks like it might have too much going on compared to the minimalistic look. I will probably tone it down a bit or tone other parts up ... later of course.

Regardless, I am pleased with the header. It far exceeded the idea I originally had for it and resurfaced some of the dormant photoshop skills

Blog and Scoreboard Up

September 17

I have created both a blog and a scoreboard to tally the wins against Alan. The blog is pretty much going to stay the way I have it now. MIGHT change it so people can add comments but I probably won't.

As for the scoreboard, Alan is of the opinion that I should make it so he can update it. That means I will probably add functionality for it in the future as well as a mobile version for the iPhone.

Last Time, I Swear ...

July 12

Ok, ok. I know I have been prone to changing my website often for a multitude of reasons, but I think I am finally done. Well, we can hope ...

In the past, I have been very prone to changing my website for various reasons. Sometimes it was only aesthetic reasons. Maybe I didn't like my color choices or the graphics I had created. But more often than not, it was actually the backend that proved to be catalyst for a site overhaul.

I love to learn, and everytime I would see some new or better way that I could possibly do some part of my site, I would think other parts could be improved as well. One thing leads to another and the whole site gets a makeover, front-end and back-end.

Now that I have finally built my own MVC framework, I don't think there is much that out there that will tempt me to overhaul the site anymore. In addition to that, I have also imp SEO-friendly URLs and a cleaner look that I don't feel compelled to change (except the banner). Anyways, with the layout and structure complete, it's just a matter of adding the bits and pieces.

Yay, XML!!!

April 26

Finally switched the parts of the site that I wanted from database to XML. Also fixed a few minor problems I had with my classes because of the change.

New Ubuntu

April 24

Upgrade to your new version now.

What?!?! You don't use Ubuntu? Sounds like the perfect time to get it. You can get it here. Never too late to dual-boot and test drive the best Linux distro.

Resume Page Up

March 09

Got the resume page up. A version to look at on the site as well as downloads for a .pdf and .doc file. I still don't have the contact page up fully yet (should probably disable the send button for it).

New Look

March 07

Created a new logo for the site the other day. It didn't quite mesh with the rest of the site, so I felt compelled to change the overall look. It also gave me a chance to change up the code a bit and use the MVC model with classes and Ajax. Overall I am pleased so far and hope to fill in the missing pieces to it that I have yet to finish.

ASP

September 23

I just recently had a Sun version of ASP installed. I should have the pages up in a few days, with a few changes needing to be made. Mostly making them use MySQL instead of Microsoft SQL servers and some minor changes with the coding.

Portfolio Stuff

August 21

Didn't quite get the portfolio page done.

Far from it in fact.

However, I did get some test rollovers going, which means that I should have all of the 2d and 3d content up in the next day or so. Right after I create the page to put it into the database and resize the images for me because I do NOT want to do it all by hand. So feel free to hit up the 2d art page and tell me what you think of the rollovers. Be harsh, I don't mind.

Happy Birthday to Me

August 21

Yes, yes.

Alas ... 'tis my birthday this fine day. I am now 23. Don't know what else to say, because I never get too enthusiastic over it.

Did get some sweet books however, and as far as I'm concerned, that's a birthday enough for me.
